FAQ's

Q: Does US Rack allow for will call pickup?

Yes. You may arrange for pickup with customer service. Just leave a memo note at the time of purchase.

Q: How will the rack be shipped and how long will it take?

Most products shipped by U.S. Rack are delivered to the customer using standard FEDEX ground shipping. Transit time can take up to 5 business days. Processing time especially during the spring/summer season prior to shipping usually takes 1-9 business days after the order is received. However, this may vary so please assume it will take at least 9-14 days for delivery. If you have a certain date by which you must receive your rack, please contact us at 1.888.877.2257 (1.888.usracks) so we can ensure that we ship it in time. An extra fee may be required for expedited processing or delivery.

Q: How do I tie down cargo?

Four tie-down eyes are provided on the four bases of the rack for use with ratchet straps, one on each corner of the rack. There is also a tie-down cleat for use with cords or ropes on each of the four legs.

Q: How do I get technical assistance?

Call us at 951-372-0200 M-F 8:00 am - 5:00 pm PST. Please have the year, make and model of your truck and the part number you need help with handy. One of our technicians will be able to help you.

If you are experiencing difficulties when trying to install one of our products and would like to speak with a tech please have the following available before contacting us.

Your vehicle's year, make and model (include sub model) as well as the part number you are trying to install.

Details of the issues you are having. Please be specific when explaining the situation.

Any other problematic issues you are experiencing with the installation.

If we cannot resolve the problem over the phone, we may ask that you send us images illustrating the problem. Images must be in focus, clear, and in good lighting. The more images that are provided the better and the quicker the tech will be able to help determine a complete resolution. When corresponding via email please provide the best phone number to reach you at, as well at what times you will be available.

Q: Can I return the rack if I don’t like it?

Yes. If for any reason you find that your U.S. Rack product is not what you want, simply call us within 30 days of purchase to get a return authorization number. We will then arrange to pick up the product from you. If there is nothing mechanically wrong with the rack a restocking fee of 20% of the total purchase price plus round trip ground shipping will be deducted from your refund. The rack should be returned in the original box and packaged in a way to prevent damage. Damage caused by improper packaging will require repair to return the rack to a condition where is can be re-sold, and will result in a refurbishing fee. If there is a mechanical defect with the product within one year, U.S. Rack will first attempt to fix the problem by shipping you a replacement part. If there is a defect which we cannot fix by replacing components, you may request a return, and we will not charge you restocking or shipping fees. We will then credit your card or send you a check for the appropriate balance.

Q: How do I return my item?

Please supply your order number and reason for return. Product must be in new unused condition and in original packaging to be returned for a refund. Send a copy of your purchase receipt along with a detailed explanation for the reason for the return to customerserivce@usrack. US Rack Warranty Procedure In the unlikely event that your ZROADZ product must be returned. Please follow the instructions below. Ensure the following information is available when contacting our customer service department. Please email the required items outlined below to customerservice@usrack.com 1. PO number/order number and part number(s) you are requesting to be returned. 2. Description of the problem or issue. 3. Pictures of the box and the label on the box. 4. Pictures of the product illustrating the defect. 5. Send this information to customerservice@usrack.com Once the above has been received a customer service representative will be in contact with you with an RMA number. Please allow 3-5 business days for your RMA to be issued after all the information has been provided. Credit will be issued within 7-15 days after receiving the item.

T-Rex Truck Products seeks to protect the security of your personal information both online and offline. All credit card transactions are secure. Every online order is encrypted and sent through a secure server, using SSL technology to prevent information from being intercepted.
Confidential information such as your credit card number will be used only to fulfill your order. To protect your privacy, we will ask you to enter your credit card number and expiration date each time you place an order with us. This way, even if someone else accesses the account information stored on your computer, they won't be able to use your credit card.
E-mail is not encrypted and is not a secure means to transmit credit card numbers. We will only display the last 4 digits of your credit card number on your account.

Product Returns

Q: Maintenance

Maintenance on your Rack will be required. With powder-coated racks, normal use usually results in scratching of the surface, exposing the steel below. To prevent rust, spot paint any scratches or breaks in the surface with a high quality metal paint, such as “Rustoleum” or similar flat or gloss black.

Q: US Rack Product Warranty

U.S. Rack, Inc products are warranted for a period of 1 year against all defects in structural materials and workmanship provided that they are assembled, installed, and used in accordance with all manufacturer's specifications and instructions. Powder coated racks can not be warranted against rust. Merchandise must be returned in the original box with original packaging or in similar manner to prevent damage.

In the unlikely event that your US Rack product must be returned for warranty consideration, follow the instructions below.

Please have the following information available when contacting our customer service department.

  1. Copy of original purchase receipt
  2. Description of the problem or issue
  3. Images of the product defect. The more clearly the images identify the issue, the faster your claim can be processed
  4. Shipping address the replacement item is to be sent to

Please choose one of the following options for warranty processing and indicate your choice on your initial email request.

  1. I would like to receive a replacement part before I send my part back – This option will resolve the issue the quickest but will require us to have a current credit card on file. Our customer service department will send you a credit card authorization form. In the event we do not receive the warranted item back from you within 30 days of receipt of replacement product, we will charge your card for the replacement cost of the item(s) plus shipping.
  2. I would like to send my item back to US Rack for warranty before a replacement is sent. Email our customer service department at customerservice@usrack.com with the above information. In the event that you do not have access to email, please call customer service at 951-271-3498 for further instructions.

Once this information is received and the issue evaluated, we will be contacting you with further instructions, so please make sure the email address you provide is your primary email. PLEASE ALLOW 24-48 HOURS FOR A RESPONSE. Please note, open warranty claims must be completed within 45 days of RMA issuance.

Q: US Rack Warranty Procedure

US Rack Returns and Refunds

  1. If the product shipped has missing or defective components, U.S. Rack may first send the customer new components to solve the problem. If after receiving the replacement components, the product is still defective, the customer may call and request that U.S. Rack schedule a return pick-up of the product. After the product has been returned and shown to have a significant defect, the customer will be refunded the entire purchase price including shipping
  2. If customer wishes to return the product for reasons other than a mechanical defect, for most products the customer may call and request that U.S. rack schedule a return pick-up of the product. After the product has been returned U.S. Rack will refund the customer's purchase price minus the standard shipping charges listed on www.UPS.com or www.fedex.com for both directions and minus a 15% restocking fee to cover processing, handling, and repackaging costs. U.S. Rack may also deduct the fair value to repair any damage to the product not caused by U.S. Rack.
  3. All U.S. Rack products are packaged and shipped in excellent condition. Although U.S. Rack products are metal, in rare cases structural damage affecting function can occur during shipping. Products such as our heavy duty truck racks that are custom made or made to order are not returnable except for mechanical defects. In the case of mechanical defects or damage during shipping U.S. Rack will be happy to replace damaged components free of charge and ship via ground. Cosmetic damage such as scratching occurs more frequently during shipment. Such minor damage is beyond the control of U.S. Rack and U.S. Rack cannot be responsible for it. Luckily, such damage can usually be remedied by rubbing or by applying black touch-up or spray paint. A request for return because of cosmetic damage is governed by paragraph 2.
  4. When products are shipped by freight (common carrier) products are generally shipped to commercial addresses in commercial areas based upon the freight company’s determination. Special services such as notification calls before delivery, providing a truck with a lift gate, re-delivery, and especially delivery to residential addresses are available for an additional charge. If the freight company delivers such services, the customer alone is responsible for those charges, not U.S. Rack. We will order the services that the customer tells us are needed, any additional charges that may later be required will be charged back to the customer.

 

US Rack Warranty Return Procedure

In the unlikely event that your US Rack must be returned for warranty consideration, please follow the instructions below. Ensure the following information is available when contacting our customer service department.

  1. Copy of original purchase receipt.
  2. Description of the problem or issue.
  3. Images of the product defect. The more clearly the images identify the issue, the faster your claim can be processed.
  4. Shipping address the replacement item is to be sent to.

 

Please choose one of the following options for warranty processing and indicate your choice on your initial return request.

  1. I would like to receive a replacement part before I send my part back – This option will resolve the issue the quickest but will require us to have a current credit card on file. Our customer service department will send you a credit card authorization form and keep it on file until the warranty process is complete. Credit card information will be destroyed once the procedure is done. The return label will be provided in the replacement box.
  2. I would like to send my item back to US Rack for warranty consideration before a replacement is sent. You will not be required to submit credit card information using this method. Once you provide all the information being requested US Rack will provide you with a return label.

 

PLEASE ALLOW 24-48 HOURS FOR A RESPONSE.

US Rack will cover the cost of outbound shipping on ground service only. Upgraded shipping (next day, 2nd day etc) costs will not be paid for by US Rack. Ensuring proper internal packing is your responsibility. Damage resulting from improper/inadequate internal packing is not covered under warranty. Damage claims for products shipped to US Rack must be initiated and managed by the shipper. US Rack will hold damaged products for a period of 30 days after receipt or until the claim is completed whichever occurs first, after which the product will be returned to the customer at their expense or scrapped. A product that has been determined to have been modified or abused is not eligible for warranty relief. You will be contacted by US Rack to determine disposition of the product in question.

Once this information is received and the issue evaluated, we will be contacting you with further instructions, so please make sure the email address and/or phone number you provide are your primary email and/or phone number. Q: US Rack Non Warranty Returns

If your item was purchased within 30 days, purchased directly from U.S. RACK, INC., and wishes to return the product for reasons other than a mechanical defect, for most products the customer may call and request that U.S. rack schedule a return pick-up of the product. After the product has been returned U.S. Rack will refund the customer's purchase price minus the standard shipping charges listed on www.UPS.com or www.fedex.com for both directions and minus a 20% restocking fee to cover processing, handling, and repackaging costs. U.S. Rack may also deduct the fair value to repair any damage to the product not caused by U.S. Rack.

Ensure the following information is available when contacting our customer service department at customerservice@usrack.com. Please note all non-warranty returns are taken care of via email.

  1. Purchase order number and part number(s) you are requesting to be returned for a refund.
  2. Reason for return.

Please allow 3-5 business days for your RMA to be issued after all the information has been provided. Credit will be issued within 10-15 days after receiving the item. A 20% restocking charge will be deducted from the purchase amount. Products returned without an RMA will be refused. Return shipping is the responsibility of the sender and will not be refunded or included in the credit amount.

  • Images and product information are posted at www.trexbillet.com and T-Rex Grilles FTP site.
  • All images are for the sole use of marketing T-Rex Grilles Grille Products ONLY. Misuse or misrepresentation of these images is strictly prohibited.
  • Product CD’s are available upon request for web development and print purposes.

Q: VOLUME DISCOUNTS & MARKETING ALLOWANCE

  • Discounts from T-Rex Grilles published Jobber Price are based on a two part system.
  • 50% of the Discount is considered the T-Rex Grilles Volume Discount and 50% of the discount is considered the T-Rex Grilles Marketing allowance and is separate from any Co-Op Allowance or discounts a customer may receive. These discounts are combined and figured as one whole discount from Jobber.
  • All Discounts from T-Rex Grilles published Jobber Price are based on a two part system.
  • 50% of the discount is considered the T-Rex Grilles Volume Discount and 50% of the Discount is considered the T-Rex Grilles Marketing Allowance and is separate from any Co-Op Allowance or discounts a customer may receive. These Discounts are combined and figured as one whole discount from Jobber. Example (A 30% discount consist of a 15% Volume Discount and a 15% Marketing Allowance and is figured as a single 30% discount from Jobber).

Q: TERM ACCOUNTS INFORMATION & PAYMENTS

  • NET-30 Accounts
    • Payments are due on or before the 30th day from the original invoice date of the next succeeding month and are considered past due thereafter.
    • Statements will be mailed/faxed out at the end of each month; it is the purchaser's
  • NET-10 Accounts
    • NET-10 Accounts receive a maximum 2% quick pay discount when payment is received within 10 days from original date of invoice.
    • Invoices are considered past due if payment has not been received before the 30th day after the original invoice date.
    • Statements will be mailed/faxed out at the end of each month; it is the purchaser's obligation to make the payments on time with or without a statement.
  • C.O.D. and Credit Card Accounts:
    • Forms of payments accepted by T-Rex Grilles for C.O.D. Accounts include, Company Checks, Cashiers Check and Money Orders.
    • T-Rex Grilles, at its discretion, may require new & current accounts to pay for product by use of cashiers checks or money orders.
    • T-Rex Grilles also accepts all major credits cards; these include Master Card, Visa, Discover and American Express.
    • Before using a credit card, you must have a credit card agreement form on file. Please contact a Sales Representative to receive a form via fax or e-mail.
  • Returned Checks – Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF)
    • Returned checks are subject to a $25.00 return fee in addition to any other fees associated with the returned check.
    • T-Rex Grilles will not accept a Company Check as payment for a “NSF” check nor will it re-deposit a “NSF” check a second time.
    • T-Rex Grilles may require future shipments to be paid by way of cashiers check or money order.
    • 2 or more “NSF” checks will require prepayment via a credit card, bank wire transfer, cashiers check or money order prior to shipment.
  • Delinquent Accounts
    • Accounts over 30 days past due are considered delinquent and may be subject to a late payment charge of 2% per month or the maximum allowed by law.
    • Purchaser/Customer agrees to pay all collection costs and attorney’s fees necessary to collect past due amounts.
    • Failure to follow these terms may result in a suspension or cancellation of services.

Q: SHIPPING POLICIES – Single Items

  • General Shipping Information:
    • Orders are shipped ground service unless otherwise specified.
    • Currently, T-Rex Grilles ships via FEDEX and UPS (United Parcel Service).
    • Additional Shipping methods are 3-Day Service, 2-Day Service and both AM & PM Next Day Air. These deliveries are available at the customers’ expense.
    • Special Handling orders must be faxed or emailed for acceptance.
  • Single & Small Multiple Piece Orders:
    • Orders received before 3:00 pm PST on in stock items are shipped same day. Items not in stock are considered backordered and will ship as they become available. See Back Orders / Special Orders for more information.
  • Drop Shipments:
    • Orders shipped to a location other than your specified shipping address are considered a “Drop Ship Order”.
    • ALL Drop Ship orders will be assessed a $ 10.00 drop ship charge at time of Invoice, No Exceptions.
    • Drop ship orders must be faxed or e-mailed to T-Rex Grilles for accuracy, No Exceptions. Confirmations on faxed orders are available upon request.

Q: SHIPPING POLICIES – Freight & Stock Orders

General Freight Information:
  • T-Rex Grilles ships Freight PPD on orders over $2500.00 inside California and Freight PPD on orders over $3500.00 to the remaining Continental United States. (Excludes HI, AK and Puerto Rico).
  • Orders shipped outside of the Continental U.S. are shipped FOB Corona CA to a forwarder of the customers choosing and must have a US shipping address. All international will be shipped according to the terms outlined above.
  • Freight / Stock Orders are shipped “Best Way Possible” and usually arrive in 3-7 days from ship date.
  • Customers who request a Specific Freight Company may do so at their own expense.
  • Some products are oversized and require specific shipping methods and may be subject to additional freight charges. Please contact a Sales Representative for more information.
  • Stock orders are shipped only when they have been completed and are palletized in accordance to carrier policies.
  • Freight & Stock Order Customers who require a faster delivery time other than the original ETA given will be charged shipping for the items needed to be rushed (No Exceptions). Q: SHIPPING DAMAGES

  • T-Rex Grilles is not responsible for product lost or damaged in transit.
  • The receiving party must report items damaged in transit to the carrier immediately (Per timeline required by carrier).
  • Denied damage claims due to unacceptable or delinquent filings will not be issued credit by T-Rex Grilles.
  • Upon approval and finalization of a claim by the carrier, credit will be issued to the due party. If needed, contact your sales representative to order replacement product; a new order / purchase order is required to ship replacement product (T-Rex Grilles will not re- ship parts off a verbal purchase order).

Q: RETURNS

  • Return Information:
    • A T-Rex Grilles RGA (Returned Goods Authorization) Request Form must be completed on all return requests.
    • All returns must have an RGA number; Product returned without an RGA will be refused, NO Exceptions.
    • RGA numbers are good for 30 days from the date of issuance.
    • Returned packages must be clearly marked with the RGA Number.
    • No returns on special order, clearance or discontinued items.
    • All returned products are subject to a 20% Restocking / Re-Boxing fee.
    • Product must be properly packaged to prevent shipping damage and shipped prepaid at customers expense.
    • Returning an item does not constitute an automatic refund and is subject to review.

  • Stock Adjustments:

    • T-Rex Grilles customers are allowed a once a year Stock Adjustment based on 3% of prior year sales. Stock adjustment requests must be received by the close of business Jan 31st to be considered for stock adjustment return. No Exceptions.
    • T-Rex Grilles will require a 2 for 1 offsetting order to be placed at the time of RGA issuance.
    • All Stock adjustment must be in 100% re-sellable condition to be considered for a full credit.

The Paddler’s rack is width adjustable and will fit a variety of model trucks. The standard height rack will fit any pickup of a similar bed type (conventional vs track system) with a cab which is 24” tall or shorter. The tall models will fit all pickups of similar bed type no matter how tall the cab is.

Q: Will the Paddler’s Truck Rack fit my standard side bed truck?

The Paddler’s Rack is designed to fit any pickup truck with conventional fleet side bedrails. This includes the vast majority of pickup trucks. The model 2010-1FSR is our standard height rack which is about 25” inches high as measured from the bedrail to the top of the cross bar. This is the right height for almost all trucks. The Ford Super Duty trucks and the Dodge Ram Mega Cabs have extra tall cabs, however, and require the model 2010-1FST, and this model truck rack measures 27.5 inches tall. Model 2010-1B is also available for standard height cabs. This lower-cost special model is designed to bolt onto rather than clamp onto the bedrails of the truck.

Q: How does this Pick up Rack attach to my truck and how secure is it?

After initial assembly installation of the rack on a truck with conventional standard side bedrails will only take a few minutes. The Paddler’s Rack attaches by employing an integrated clamping system. A clamp bottom is drawn up by means of a screw turned with an Allen wrench. For conventional beds this squeezes the bedrail of the truck between the clamp below and the base of the rack above. Photos below show rack installed on a conventional bed.

 

     

 

For trucks with track systems, an insert is slid into the end of Deck Rail or the Utili-track and secured with a wing knob. Installing the models designed for trucks with track systems will take about the same amount of time to install as those for a conventional bed truck. Q: How do I tie down cargo?

Four tie-down eyes are provided on the four bases of the rack for use with ratchet straps, one on each corner of the rack. There is also a tie-down cleat for use with cords or ropes on each of the four legs.

Q: Can I use my truck rack to carry a canoe?

Many canoes can be carried without difficulty; however, some canoes are shaped so there is a large curve on the top of the canoe when viewed from the side. If this is the case, when the canoe is transported upside down as it is commonly carried, both ends of the canoe tend to hand down below the level of the crossbar and may strike the room of the truck cab. If this curve is not too radical, it may be possible to buy the taller model rack which will raise the height of the crossbars and provide about 2 inches of additional clearance. Q: Can I use my rack with a bed liner?

There are many different types of bed liners. Spray-on bedliners offer no obstacle in installing this truck rack. The Paddler’s Rack can be used in any case where the bottom of the clamp can hook around the lip of the bedrail and tighten against the bottom of the bed rail. You can test this by simply putting you palms on the bedrail of your truck and seeing if you can curl your fingers around the lip of the bedrail so your finger tips go up around the lip. The newer style under-the-rail bedliners work easily with the Paddlers Rack because they allow access to the bottom of the bed rails. The older style over-the-rail bedliners, which were a single piece, will require that a slit or a hole be made in the bedliner. U.S. Rack offers a bedliner kit, consisting of a 2-1/2 inch hole-saw to make a hole plus 4 plastic caps to plug the holes again later, when the rack is removed.

Q: Can I return the rack if I don’t like it?

Yes. If for any reason you find that your U.S. Rack product is not what you want, simply call us within 30 days of purchase to get a return authorization number. We will then arrange to pick up the product from you. If there is nothing mechanically wrong with the rack a restocking fee of 20% of the total purchase price plus round trip ground shipping will be deducted from your refund. The rack should be returned in the original box and packaged in a way to prevent damage. Damage caused by improper packaging will require repair to return the rack to a condition where is can be re-sold, and will result in a refurbishing fee. If there is a mechanical defect with the product within one year, U.S. Rack will first attempt to fix the problem by shipping you a replacement part. If there is a defect which we cannot fix by replacing components, you may request a return, and we will not charge you restocking or shipping fees. We will then credit your card or send you a check for the appropriate balance.

These models attach by employing a universal clamp system that is extremely strong and durable. A portion of this nearly invisible clamp extends down from the Clamp Box on the base of the rack. This clamp extends around the lip of the truck bedrail and then up behind the lip to contact the bottom side of the bedrail. When the clamp screw is tightened it draws the clamp up firmly. This squeezes the bedrail of the truck between the clamp below and the base of the rack above. To help protect painted surfaces of the truck and prevent slippage, the top of the clamp has a very hard rubber nub held in a steel casing and the bottom of the rack has rubbery padding. These models attach by employing inserts that are placed into either the Toyota deckrail or the Nissan Utili-track systems. Stainless steel screws bind the inserts, rails, and base of the rack firmly together. To prevent slippage the bottom of the rack has rubbery padding. A tie-down hook is provided on each leg of rack for use with ropes and 2 additional tie-down holes are also provided in the gussets at the top and bottom of each leg for anchoring the hooks on ratchet straps. This is a total of 12 tie-down points.

The Rail Rack can be stored on two wall hangers. U.S. Rack Wall Hangers are an optional accessory . They can be screwed into studs of your garage or other wall 32” apart. When hung together, the front and back sections of the rack fill a space only about 5 feet wide, 2-1/2 feet high and 2 feet deep. Q: Can I use my truck rack with a bed liner?

There are many different types of bed liners. Spray-on bedliners offer no obstacle in installing the Rail Rack. The rack can be used in any case where the bottom of the clamp can hook around the lip of the bedrail and tightened against the bottom of the bed rail. The newer style under-the-rail bedliners work easily with the Rail Rack because they allow access to the bottom of the bedrails. The older style over-the-rail bedliners, which were a single piece, will require that a slit or a hole be made in the bedliner. U.S. Rack offers a bedliner kit, consisting of a 2-1/2 inch hole-saw to make a hole plus 4 plastic caps to plug the holes again later, when the rack is removed.

Q: Can I use my truck rack in conjunction with a tool box?

Yes. Since the base of the rack lies flat on the bedrail a cross-mounted or side-mounted tool box can sit on the base of the rack. In order to determine how wide a box will fit, measure the distance between the bedrails then subtract one inch from each side to account for the width of the Clamp Boxes on Models 2007-2R and 20007-2XT, or subtract ½ inch from each side to account for the inserts on other models.

Yes. People frequently use only one half of a Rail Rack mounted either at the front or the back of the bed. Some use half a Rail Rack mounted at the back of the bed when they place a roof rack on the top of their cab to carry extra long loads. We recommend that if you choose to attach your rack by means of screws that you use multiple machine screws at least 3/8 inches in diameter in each base with a washer and nylon lock nut under the bedrail.
